ADULT: KJR - PHASE 2 THE WORLD UNFOLDS, (SPINDLES & MUTILATES?)Upper Brewers Locks
KJR -—- the next to early days

This period was marked by the regular worship of God at nearby Saint Barnabie's Church, worship of a sweetheart at Highschool, summer work at Upper Brewers Lock Station #22 and elsewhere on the Rideau Canal waterway. It was a real joy to explore the basic technology — even older than the machinery Washburn Mill or the farm. It was also the age of protest, long haired "hippy" types and complex social change, protest marches and eventually disappointment.   Continued efforts at self-exploration brought more and more challenges, part-time it was car dealing and later in archaeology with Parks Canada's Cornwall Office. However, digging drain pipes from under the foundations of very, very old homes and digging up and photographing dirt wasn't the stuff of Indy Jones, so I decided to apply some of my assorted skills in electronics repair and TV service,  (using an old Econoline service van that would stick between gear at just about every other traffic light), and finally after an almost endless education and degrees here, there and everywhere, I found work as a Methods and Systems Analyst. My first office had a wonderful view — of the barbed wire fence — because it was in a prison, but it was actually a fun place to work! Nothing lasts and this wasn't to be any exception; soon the sun set on that path and those friends. I decided to put myself about a bit as they say — have a whale of a time and make some REAL money. I went on the consulting circuit, working the fast lane — the latest high technology solutions, DEC, UNIVAC, IBM System 360…
Then disaster -- sort of...Oh yes! There's more!...?
