crabby lady with blue hair I WAS really mad at McAfee when I couldn't get my credit card off the auto-renewal feature for over seven months, but they have bent over backwards now to rectify the situation (without a peep about my webpages rants).
I'm still not crazy about signing up for auto-renewal by credit card for McAfee anti-virus, anti-spam and firewall software, nor for anything else, for that matter. Click this link for the update --

Do NOT forward recycled sad excuses for jokes, so-called "virus alerts" that are hoaxes, or any other spam.

You can tell it's spam if the message contains the phrase "forward to everyone you know" or "pass-it-along". It's spam if it is advertising get-rich-quick schemes, outright fraud -- "send money" to a mailbox who knows where or provide your credit card number (get real!), chain letters -- for Jesus or anyone else, or that bloody idiocy that Microsoft is tracking the number of times a message is sent around and is giving away software or a vehicle.

If you really are a friend, stop asking for confirmation of your friendship with chain letters. Hit the delete button on those you receive and block anyone who continues to send this crap after you've hinted that you really don't appreciate it.

Get a clue, will ya! You are aggravating every recipient of this garbage and wasting download time and space. Some people have to pay long distance charges on top of their internet service provider fees, so get a life and KNOCK IT OFF!
